Biography

I have lived in Washington, DC; New York, NY; Atlanta, GA; London, United Kingdom; Gainesville, GA; and Asheville, NC; several of these places more than once, over the years.  I'm currently a London dweller.  It's been a long time since I knew what to say when people ask me where I'm from.

I studied philosophy and classics first at the University of North Carolina at Asheville for my BA and then at the London School of Economics where I read for an MSc in Philosophy and Public Policy.  I have been particularly interested in the intersection of philosophy with the social sciences in both my undergraduate and my graduate research; I have also focussed on ancient philosophy, medieval philosophy, feminist and queer philosophy, and ethics.

I work in development and spend my free time reading too many books, walking, writing, listening to Radios Three and Four, learning more about single malt whisky and going to odd concerts.
